奧さんは私に「結構ね。嘸御父さんや御母さんは御喜びでせう」と云つて呉れた。私は突然病氣の父の事を考へた。早くあの卒業證書を持つて行つて見せて遣らうと思つた。

translation

Okusan told me, ``It's fine. Your father and mother will be pleased.'' I suddenly thought of my sick father. I thought I'd quickly bring that diploma and show it to him.
