先生は迷惑さうに庭の方を向いた。其庭に、此間迄重さうな赤い強い色をぽた/\點じてゐた椿の花はもう一つも見えなかつた。先生は座敷から此椿の花をよく眺める癖があつた。

translation

Sensei turned to the garden annoyed. Not a single camellia flower could be seen in the garden, which had been dripping with a heavy, strong red color until recently. Sensei had a habit of gazing at these camellias from the tatami room.
