「斯んな譯で私はどちらの方面へ向つても進む事が出來ずに立ち竦んでゐました。身體の惡い時に午睡などをすると、眼だけ覺めて周圍のものが判然見えるのに、何うしても手足の動かせない場合がありませう。私は時としてあゝいふ苦しみを人知れず感じたのです。

translation

"That's why I couldn't move forward in any direction, so I stood still. When I was physically sick, when I took a nap, my eyes woke up and I could see the surroundings clearly." And there were times when I couldn't move my limbs no matter what I did.
