父の病氣は同じやうな状態で一週間以上つゞいた。私はその間に長い手紙を九州にゐる兄宛で出した。妹へは母から出させた。私は腹の中で、恐らく是が父の健康に關して二人へ遣る最後の音信だらうと思つた。それで兩方へ愈といふ場合には電報を打つから出て來いといふ意味を書き込めた。

My father's illness lasted for more than a week in a similar state. During that time, I wrote a long letter to my brother in Kyushu. I let my sister take it out from my mother. In my heart, I thought that perhaps this was the last message I would send to them regarding their father's health. So I could write in the meaning that if there was a request for both sides to come out, I would send a telegram.
