伯父が見舞に來たとき、父は何時迄も引き留めて歸さなかつた。淋しいからもつと居て呉れといふのが重な理由であつたが、母や私が、食べたい丈物を食べさせないといふ不平を訴たへるのも、其目的の一つであつたらしい。

translation

When my uncle came to visit me, my father stopped him and never returned. One of the main reasons was that I wanted to stay longer because I was lonely, but it seems that one of the reasons was that my mother and I complained about not letting them eat what they wanted.
